Progress

This friday Greg and I are meeting with a DJ to get a feel for his personality and DJ style. I hope it works out so that we can have that detail taken care of. Also, on Saturday we are meeting with a couple of marriage commissioners to get an idea of who we feel comfortable with. Hopefully we can take care of that detail this weekend too!

I can finally announce my portion of the wedding party: Courtney, Michelle, and Katie. I'm looking forward to the months to follow and I hope we can incorporate lots of people's ideas and suggestions.

Bridal Show

Greg and I went to a bridal show in Kelowna on the weekend. There was tons of turquoise... especially in the bridesmaids' dresses... loved that. Then... I saw a dress I absolutely LOVE! Most of the time I look at dresses and they are all pretty but they kinda look the same, this dress really stood out and I can't wait to try it on. It didn't have much for beading (which I like, I'm not crazy about the dresses covered in beading, I think it looks too busy and it wouldn't work with a sash), it was a bright diamond white and had off the shoulder strap/sleeves and it flowed out into a princess gown with the fabric bunching all the way down and it had a white sash tied into a bow with a diamond buckle around the waist.

I won a door prize at the show... a basket full of Watkin's products... like chai tea mix, air freshener, medicated oinment for muscles, gravy mix... random selection. Also, I spoke with a DJ who sounds awesome. Howling the Night Away it is called and the guy said he is from one of the major night clubs in town and was like, you probably know, and I was like um no I probably don't, I never go out lol... but he was totally willing to sit down and get to know us and incorporate our broad spectrum of music likes... I think we'll probably go with him.

Wedding Band

We got a letter from the Canadian Jewelry Exchange, where we got our engagement ring from, giving us a discount on all products. We went down just to have a look and found a beautiful wedding band that matches perfectly with the engagement ring and so we decided to go ahead and buy it!

I'm so excited! I love putting the two together and thinking about being married :) The band is too small as of yet, but we are waiting until next summer to have it sized.
